A vacuum brazing furnace is a specialized type of furnace used for a process known as vacuum brazing. This procedure is performed in a furnace under vacuum conditions, which prevents oxidation and results in a cleaner, high-quality joint.

A vacuum brazing furnace operates by creating a high-temperature environment in which brazing occurs, under vacuum conditions. Metals to be joined are placed in proximity, and a filler metal (or brazing alloy) is used. Under the high temperature, the filler metal melts and flows into the joint by capillary action. The vacuum environment ensures that no oxidation occurs, creating a clean, high-strength joint once the filler metal cools and solidifies.
